Out of the Box Functional Fitness is designed to improve your strength, agility and stability. Functional fitness helps you perform everyday activities like bending, pushing, pulling, and walking.
OOTB functional fitness exercises use multiple muscles at once and often require core engagement. They involve moving in multiple planes, such as forwards and backwards, side to side, and rotationally. OOTB Functional Fitness exercises typically use bodyweight or free weights, rather than machines.

Examples of functional fitness exercises:
Push-ups, Walking lunges, Jump squats, Lateral bounds, Jumping jacks, Planks, and Deadlifts.

With your Out of the Box Fitness membership you get access to Specialty Classes including CrossFit, HYROX, Mobility Sessions and more.
At Out of the Box Fitness, we make sure that the athletes who choose the CrossFit specialty class perform the same functional movements by using a barbell instead of bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, and other accessories typically used in our Functional Fitness classes. You can always switch into the CrossFit specialty class level by taking an on-ramp.

Mobility Sessions with our in-house Kinesiologist. Kinesiology is the study of our body’s mechanics through the lens of our muscles. Find the connection between your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints to help you get fit and strong.
HYROX is fitness racing. Hyrox combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times. Hyrox is for all fitness levels!
